Earthbound arrives in Europe and US on WiiU eShop!

I remember all those years ago when I was playing Super Smash Bros on my N64, and I unlocked this character I had never heard of before – an unusual feat given the harmless Nintendo fanboy I’d become growing up. A character called Ness, who apparently harked from the second installment of a Japanese Nintendo franchise known as Mother in a game called Earthbound.

Neither Earthbound, or any of the Mother series for that matter, have ever been released in Europe much to the die hard fans, and also curious Smash Bros players like myself.

That was until today when Nintendo announced and simultaneously released Earthbound on both US and European eShops.

The game itself retails currently for £6.99 or €9.99 in Europe and for $9.99 in the US.

And what’s more Nintendo have set up a dedicated website for the release. You can get all the information here as well as looking through a FREE Player Guide that has been specially digitised to function on the WiiU gamepad controller’s browser, so you can dip into it easily mid game if you get stuck.

Needless to say this is one member of the WW4G team who is very excited about finally experiencing the game that he never thought would reach this part of the world.

Keep your eyes peeled for an Earthbound review in the not too distant future.

You know that weird guy that still likes Nintendo? Yeah, that's me. I've been gaming since the ZX Spectrum and still think it's awesome after nearly 25 years.
